Qualitative Research to Understand the Needs of Mentally Ill Homeless

In an effort to determine the residential, employment and service needs of Atlanta's mentally ill homeless, Research Design Associates worked with Atlanta-area hospitals, jails, shelters, and agencies that bring health care to the homeless.

Based on a survey of mentally ill homeless individuals during a 24-hour sweep of Atlanta shelters and streets, Research Design Associates provided Georgia agencies with a report documenting a census of Atlanta’s mentally homeless and recommendations for their care.

An assessment of the housing, employment, and service needs of Atlanta's homeless mentally ill (1994) provided to Project Interconnections, Inc.; Georgia Department of Health and Human Services; and the Georgia  Housing and Finance Authority.
