10-Year Longitudinal Study of Children's Dreams

RDA scientists were involved in the analysis of this seminal longitudinal research into the developmental etiology of dreaming. Among the myriad findings were that dreaming is thinking. Further, dream development follows the growth of the child's capacity for story telling.

Because of the in-depth data gathered from a small number of individuals over 10 years of development, it was possible to know that dream development is hardwired brain function that develops in all humans concomitant with language and storytelling.
